She was a featured author in the distinguished publication, "Today's Purposeful Woman" magazine; the Memphis Voyager magazine for her work as a local business creator; the Canvas Rebel magazine and the Tennessee Highlander magazine. Among the prestigious awards she has received are the Tri-State Defender's 'Woman of Excellence Award," the "Woman of the Month" award from the Comrades N Community, Inc., and a community recognition award for her participation in the Riverside Tent Crusade.
Dr. Dee's nonprofit, DSB Ministries Inc., has been instrumental in helping scores of individuals obtain much needed affordable life enrichment services to help them navigate through life's adversities. By focusing on prayer, breakthrough, and the gospel message, Dr. Dee empowers many to move past obstacles hindering them spiritually and naturally. She views Christ as the "centerpiece" and "missing piece" for many in a world full of chaos, disruptions, injustice, and change. Dr. Dee is very passionate about ministering to those who feel they can in no wise can lift themselves up.
Her weekly Saturday morning prayer hour, BreakAway 30 Intercessory Prayer Call, has revolutionized the lives of many world-wide with many testimonies of miracles, signs and wonders.
Scholastically, Dr. Dee was awarded a Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Counseling through the Hermitage International Bible College and Seminary in 2011. She received her Masters of Public Administration in Human Resources from The University of Memphis in 2005 and a Bachelors of Psychology in 1988 from Christian Brothers University. She is also a (National Christian Counselor's Association) N.C.C.A. licensed pastoral Christian counselor, an American Christian Counselors Association (A.C.C.A.) Board Certified Mental Health Coach, and a A.C.C.A certified life coach. Although proud of her many scholastic achievements, she values her call into the service of the Lord above all.
She is married to Walter James Banks, Jr. They reside in Memphis, TN and attend Temple of Deliverance C.O.G.I.C, pastor, Bishop Milton R. Hawkins; founder, the late Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson.
